You are at the top of His priority list!

We always want all the attention and be on the priority list

In our earthly journey, we always want to make sure that we are at the center of all attention! We look for ways to be noticed and we wait for the remarks and appreciations that come from our surrounding! When we start working, we want to make sure that we are the one the “boss” is paying attention to and talking to most of the time. They way, we want to steal the spotlight!

This constant search for earthly attention can sometime takes us away from the key attention we need in our lives. This attention is the one that God has on us. This is the most valuable attention as it is translated by the priority God gives to us and all what we do. Some would say that they do not want that attention from God because it would expose all their shortcomings, failures and sins they commit. But when you really think of it, this is the key reason you need to seek God’s attention. It reminds us that we are on His priority list and therefore, He will do anything to make sure we do not fail!

We are His Top Priority!

Do not be fooled by the number of being populating the world! Despite this very large number (but note that that world is still not filled to ¼), each one of us is on God’s priority list! As a matter of fact, imagine that you were the only one on earth and God had all His attention on you. That is the priority He gives you!

Isaiah 49:15 says: "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” This is a very powerful statement from God! He can never forget us! Therefore, we are always on His priority list, right in front of Him.  We know how connected a mom is to her children. God tells us that He is a million times more connected to us than even our mom. Remember, He is our Father!!! God goes further to let us know that we are engraved on the palms of His hands! Therefore, He can never forget us.

1 Peter 2:9 states the following: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…”. God is telling us that we are not just noticed—we are chosen, treasured, and set apart for divine purpose. Wow, while we are fighting for attention on earth, God declares that we are not just already noticed but we are already His special possession! What is note powerful and comforting than this? We are really blessed, and we need to concentrate on the priority God is giving to us and our lives.

Finally, the priority God gives to us is ultimately illustrated in Roman 8:32: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also… graciously give us all things?” God gave His Son for you. That’s the ultimate proof of your value and priority in His heart. This is the ultimate sacrifice done for you! You are really priority to GOD!!!

I have multiple times fallen in the battle of getting noticed on earth. But I thank God that He humbled me and pointed me to the real battle I need to fight: making sure I stay on His priority list!

Call for Action

Stop running the wrong race and embark on the real and most rewarding race: the race to be and stay on the priority list of our God, our Father.

The good news is that we are already on that list. We just need to take every minute of our lives to get closer to God and understand Him better by reading His word and applying the wonderful principle of the Bible. God will take care of the rest!

GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!
